Dhaka, January 4 – The international repercussions stemming from the Indian Premier League’s decision not to include Mustafizur Rahman have intensified considerably, as Bangladesh's Sports Advisor Asif Nazrul has urged that the nation's T20 World Cup games be relocated from India.
In an intense declaration released on Saturday, Asif Nazul criticized the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for directing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to let go of the fast bowler, alleging that the Indian cricket body had "given in to extremist religious factions."
Nazrul stated that he has directed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to submit an official written response to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The order contains an explicit demand to move Bangladesh's World Cup matches to the joint host country Sri Lanka because of security issues.

" I have instructed the board to notify (the ICC) that if one contracted Bangladeshi player is unable to participate in India, the whole Bangladesh cricket team will not feel secure traveling there for the World Cup," said Nazrul.
Increasing the tension, the Advisor revealed that he has asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to prohibit the broadcast of the IPL inside Bangladesh.
Under no situation will we tolerate abuse directed at Bangladeshi cricket, players, or the country itself," said Nazrul. "The era of subjugation has ended!
The dispute started early on Saturday after KKR terminated Mustafizur's contract due to a BCCI instruction influenced by political demands. BJP figure Sangeet Som commended the action as a "triumph for Hindus," referencing supposed mistreatment of religious groups in Bangladesh.

Although the choice received backing from India's governing party, it encountered strong disapproval from opposing voices. Congress member Shashi Tharoor described the action as "condemnable," questioning if the individual was being penalized due to their faith.
