Tigray Women Stand Firm for Equal Voice in National Dialogue

Females from various communities within the Tigray area have expressed their dedication to take part in the national conversation, emphasizing that resolving deep-rooted issues via non-violent public discussion demonstrates community growth and an approach leading to enduring resolutions.

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has made notable progress in eleven regions, two municipal administrations, and among the overseas community.

People from Tigray who communicated with the Ethiopian News Agency mentioned that forming the Commission provides an essential opportunity for open discussion—something they believe the residents of Tigray should take advantage of completely.

Kidan Haftu, who lives in Mekelle, observed that during periods of war, women and children always face the greatest hardship.

She emphasized that this situation requires women to be leading figures in building peace.

"Efforts aimed at achieving enduring peace and stability by addressing Ethiopia's long-standing issues through discussion hold great promise. We should not allow this significant chance to pass us by," said Kidan.

She also called on the residents of Tigray to engage fully in this historic initiative, encouraging them to become builders of lasting peace instead of just spectators.

From the Wojerat area, Isra Adi Wereda in the Southeastern Zone, Tadelu Gebirehet stated that the discussion process offers a symbol of hope for every citizen.

She confirmed her willingness to do her part in achieving the Commission's objectives practically.

Similarly, Yordanos Gebrehawariya Another young inhabitant stated that there is no more efficient option than conversation for addressing complicated country-related problems.

She indicated her readiness to actively participate in what she referred to as a "momentous breakthrough."

The analysts together remembered the patterns of warfare that have taken a significant toll on various generations of Ethiopians.

They determined that pursuing long-term resolutions via organized dialogue is now not merely a choice, but a country-wide requirement to end the pattern of conflict and secure a peaceful tomorrow for future generations.
