DCE Urges YEA Recipients: Stay Drug-Free, Maintain Professionalism

Wawase (C/R), December 23, GNA – The District Chief Executive of Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, Mr. Patrick Fiable, urged participants in the Youth Employment Agency Security Agencies Module to steer clear of drug use, cautioning that this behavior might undermine their professional integrity and lower their prospects of joining the security forces.

He additionally urged local residents to show respect and provide assistance to those receiving aid, aiming to deter criminal activity, particularly throughout the holiday season.

Mr. Fiable offered his guidance during the launch event for 201 YEA participants, which included law enforcement and correctional staff members within the region.

He called on staff to stay alert and perform their responsibilities carefully across different roads and public areas in the region to guarantee the security of locals and visitors throughout the holiday period.

A former member of parliament representing the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira constituency, Mr. Forster Andoh, stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration will not allow graft and corruption during the hiring procedures within the security forces.

He urged locals to inform authorities about anyone asking for bribes during the hiring process, promising that the NDC administration had implemented effective measures focused on fostering young people's growth and job opportunities.

District YEA Coordinator, Mr. Solomon Owusu Gyan Agyenkwa, additionally called upon the recently appointed police and jail attendants, along with local health workers, to carry out their duties diligently and wholeheartedly, especially throughout the holiday period.

He highlighted several issues faced by YEA branches across the country, such as insufficient motorcycles, office space, and vehicles used for overseeing operations, and urged partners and the broader community to assist the organization in improving its efficiency.
