The Head of Kano State, Abba\xa0 Yusuf, On Thursday, they conveyed intense surprise and significant sorrow following the unexpected passing of two active members of the State House of Assembly on the same day.
A legislator serving as the representative for the Kano Municipal Local Government Area, Sarki Aliyu Daneji, passed away mere moments after reports emerged about the death of his fellow colleague, Aminu Sa'adu, who stood for the Ungoggo Local Government Area.
All the deceased belonged to the New Nigeria Peoples' Party (NNPP), which governs Kano State.
The governor referred to the disaster as a "trial of belief" and shared strength, urging residents of the state to stay composed, together, and engaged in spiritual practices.
All the deceased were interred in Kano on Thursday following Islamic burial traditions.
