December 26 – Jahangirnagar University has released the results of the entrance examination for the D Unit within the Faculty of Biological Sciences for first-year undergraduate Honours students from the 55th cohort. The total passing percentage is 39.10 percent.
The findings were released on Thursday evening via the university's entrance examination portal.
According to university officials, 22,671 applicants successfully cleared the D group examination. Out of these, 8,237 were male participants and 14,434 were female participants.
The Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Professor Mohammad Mafruhi Sattar, mentioned that women's involvement in the D group entrance examination was notably greater.
He mentioned that 33,491 women participated in the exam, with 14,434 passing, resulting in a female success rate of 43.10%. In contrast, 8,237 out of 24,491 men succeeded, giving a male pass rate of 33.63%.
As per the admissions department, the overall capacity in the D unit within the Faculty of Biological Sciences stands at 310 spots. Out of this, 155 positions are allocated for male applicants and another 155 for female applicants. In total, 70,221 participants took part in the entrance examination for the D unit.

The entrance examinations for first-year undergraduate Honours courses at Jahangirnagar University started on December 21 and will run through December 29 for the 2025-26 session.
